Incorporating J. Purdey first pattern snap-action thumb-hole underlever patent No. 1104 of 1863 and J. Purdey loaded indicator patent No. 1464 of 25th. May 1866, the non-rebounding backlocks with patent linked hammers and self-extracting strikers, the standing-breech inset with loaded indicators, carved serpentine fences, elongated bottom-strap, best foliate-scroll engraving, bright and reblued finish, highly-figured stock with engraved butt-plate, the rebrowned bold damascus barrels with narrow sunken game-rib
