the main part formed from a curled ram's horn ending in an unmarked tip chased with thistles, the snuff compartment at the base of the horn with gilt-lined interior, the hinged lid inset with a cushion- cut citrine, and chased with a band of thistle and rose heads to edge and sides, John Linnit 1824, London, 30.5cms overall.
