A Harlequin set of eight Italian polychrome painted high-back side chairs, 18th/19th century and later, possibly Tyrolean
Painted in various colours predominently in scarlet with gilt
embellishment, each with shaped arched top-rails with variety of stylised birds, flowerheads and armorials with turned finials and horizontal ladder splats, having later rush seats with cushions, on turned legs joined by similar stretchers (8)
