Arabic manuscript on cream paper, 248ff. with 15ll. of black naskh within gold outlined margins, gold rosettes between verses, gold floral medallions in margins marking sajda and juz, sura headings in white on gold panels with floral spandrels in two tones of gold, opening bifolio lavishly illuminated in two-tone gold highlighted with colour, the end of the Qur'an followed by 3ff. of prayers, final folio with extensive colophon signed by the scribe Hajji Ahmad known as Na'ili, the resident of Abu Eyub al-Ansari and dated 1223, very good condition in original binding of tooled marron morocco with gold medallions and spandrels with flap
