Red, blue, and black ink heightened with gold on gazelle skin, the central square panel of the chart divided into a grid of small squares each containing minute diagonal naskh inscriptions, a similar panel above and below divided by smaller panels of continuous diagonal naskh, a similar vertical panel each side with grids above and below, gold interlinear and intercolumnar bands between black rules, excellent condition, framed and glazed

Commissioned by Bibi Mah Begum Bakhtiari wife of Morteza Quli Khan Bakhtiari (1877-1945). They were commissioned for the health and well-being of her childeren. Her husband was the second most powerful of the Bakhtiari at the time of their greatest power. His wife was a wealthy woman known for her excellent taste.
