Of oval form, the flat surface carved with a seven line inscription in fine naskh within a border of similar script, in a gold mount with applied rosette border and pendant pearls, hanging loop above

Lot Essay

The inscription, written in positive and therefore talismanic, contains in the centre the throne verse from the Qur'an (sura ii, v.255). The margins contains the names of the fourteen innocents.
