signed HENDk. HEN. Amsterdam, on one of the two monocular body-tubes, the body-tubes mounted on an arm with rack and pinion fore and aft adjustment, fine adjustment in azimuth by tangent worm and screw, vertical adjustment to the stage by rack and pinion motion, the rack attached to the back side of the tubular pillar support, the eared stage with sprung slide holder, and mountings for a rotating six bead glass objective carrier, a supplementary eared stage with glass plates for specimens, two lieberkuhn, three other objectives, condenser and other items, with frog-plate constructed of cruciform bars with slender rods, each terminating in hooks, a bull's-eye condenser, a candle lamp mounted on an arm with stand, a condenser lens with rack adjustment and pillar support on stand, and other items, all fitted in a green baize-lined tray and drawer, contained in the original mahogany veneered oak case with two inset carrying brass carrying handles -- 165/8in. (42.2cm.) wide
