A finely engineered model twin inverted cylinder four pillar pear crank water pumping engine
built by W.Neubauer with wood lagged cylinders ¾in. bore x 1in. stroke each mounted on a platform supported by two barrelled columns each of which incorporates a pump valve, inward facing valve chests with inlet and exhaust pipework and main stop valve, the piston rods with pear cranks and direct coupled water pumps with suction and delivery pipes and flanges and centrally mounted crankshaft and spoked flywheel, finished in maroon with plated and polished brightwork, chequerplate floor with handrails and display base -- 9½ x 8½in. (24.2 x 21.5 cm.)
