A finely carved teak and mahogany display model of the American racing speedboat Dixie II (1908)
with external details including cleats, forehatch, air intake, engine covers and exhaust stacks, cockpit with steering wheel with steel cable and guides, instruments, two leather covered bench seats, aft hatch, the hull, with single shaft and three blade propellor and rudder, finished in blue, 'gold' white and varnish, and mounted on two turned brass columns, display base and glazed cover -- 13 x 50¾in. (33 x 129cm.)
