A REGENCY BLACK AND GILT-PAINTED TRIPLE-CHAIR-BACK SETTEE
Circa 1810
Each back with baluster-turned crestrail with Greek-key decorated central tablet, the pierced and interlocking horizontal splat with central oblong medallion painted with grisaille putti, one holding a flaming torch, another tasting a bunch of grapes, the third holidng an arrow before a rose bush, the downswept arms flanking the caned seat with Greek-key decorated apron on splayed legs with ringed capitals, formerly with brass caps and casters, decoration refreshed
