A SET OF EIGHT GEORGE III MAHOGANY DINING-CHAIRS
Circa 1800
Comprising two arm and six side chairs, each padded trapezoidal seat upholstered in geometric yellow silk, the serpentine crestrail with central oval lozenge above a pierced vertical splat, flanked by feather-carved terminals above reeded downswept arms, on turned and reeded baluster supports and similarly turned legs, with the white chalk inscription 596/1 (8)
