A PAIR OF GEORGE I BURR WALNUT SIDE CHAIRS*
The chairs and needlework circa 1725
Each yoke-form crestrail with inscrolled terminals above a vasiform waisted splat flanked by incurved stiles with molded edge above a trapezoidal drop-in cushion upholstered in contemporary Georgian 18th century gros point floral needlework, the plain frieze above flower-headed cabriole legs with scrolled angles and pad feet, with the remnants of a circular printed label ...eur, one drop-in seat frame stamped VII and with a ink stamp of a circled K, one chair stamped VIII the other II (2)
