The banded quarter-veneered satinwood top with central banded yewwood oval medallion, the fluted edge over two panelled doors enclosing five long drawers, the waved apron on bracket feet, with rosewood banding, boxwood stringing and panelled yewwood overall, with the black ink inscription HP/3575, the later hinges stamped HODGES'S PATENT LOCKJOINT, the interior top drawer and brasses later, the plinth possibly altered
