The unusual palm-wrapped legs and gadrooned bun feet appear on a side table supplied by Thomas Chippendale for Harewood House, Yorkshire in circa 1769 (see C. Gilbert, The Life and Works of Thomas Chippendale, vol.II, New York, 1978, p. 259, fig. 473). John Linnell produced a chair design with similiar legs from circa 1768-1770 which is illustrated in H.
