Possibly Scottish, circa 1835
Comprising two armchairs and six side chairs, each incurved backrest above two composite columnar supports centering a stylized foliate splat and a padded seat covered with lozenge patterned grey silk, the molded seatrail above tapering ring and baluster-turned legs on toupie feet, one side chair inscribed Hammond in pencil, the turning on the armchairs of slightly larger proportions (8)
