The rectangular molded cornice above three glazed doors, enclosing a pearl watered silk interior with nine shelves flanked by a pair of molded pilasters each headed by a stylized leaf, the rectangular top of the lower section above three panelled drawers and three panelled doors with bead-and-reel decoration, enclosing four shelves, flanked by pilasters, on a plinth base with molded upper edge, later handles
90in. (238.5cm.) high, 78in. (198.5cm.) wide, 16½in. (42cm.) deep

Lot Essay

Thomas Mash, upholsterer and furniture broker, is recorded at his Soho shop on Wardour Street from 1829-39. Other pieces bearing his stamp include a late George III secretaire-bookcase, sold Christie's London, 27 November 1969, lot 145, and a Regency breakfast-table, sold Christie's London, 7 April 1983, lot 73.
