Each tulipwood-banded radially veneered mahogany demilune top overhanging a conforming frieze with satinwood panels inlaid with central medallions hung with husk-swags, on panelled paterae-headed tapering square legs inlaid with husks, inscribed in white chalk 143, one inscribed in red paint 1972.38.A, each originally with a further hinged top in satinwood and marquetry and gateleg supports
