Vase-form on a circular molded foot, the body applied with mid-band, with two leaf-capped scroll handles and domed cover with baluster finial, the foot, body and cover flat-chased with scrolls, rocaille and flowers enclosing a later engraved crest on one side and a later inscription on the other, marked under foot, the cover apparently unmarked

Lot Essay

The engraved inscription reads: "From Prince Charles Edw Stuart TO CHAs. SELBY ESQr. of Earle IN REMEMBRANCE OF HIS MANY SERVICES IN 1745 & 1746"
