A GERMAN SILVER FOUR-PIECE TEA AND COFFEE SERVICE ON TRAY
Hanau, circa 1900
Comprising coffee pot, teapot, covered two-handled sugar bowl, cream jug and oval tray, each piece with a spirally-fluted baluster body chased with panels of flowers, foliage and C-scrolls, the coffee pot and teapot with fluted curved spouts terminating in a bird's head, the scroll handles also chased with flowers, and the domed covers with applied finials in the form of entwined dolphins; the tray with a plain surface and fluted upraised border.
