A GEORGE III IRISH SILVER SUGAR BASKET
Maker's mark of Richard Sawyer, Dublin, 1806
The boat-shaped fluted bowl lightly engraved with an upper band of leaves above a wide band of scrolls on a matte ground, each side engraved with a leaf-framed oval, with fluted swing handle; raised on tall oval pedestal base with a narrow engraved band of bright-cut scrolls, marked under the base, the handle struck with the crowned harp only; also struck three times with small French import mark; together with a George IV Irish waiter, maker's mark of Jason Le Bass, Dublin, 1822, of circular form on three hoof feet, with applied shell and scroll border; and a pair of bright cut sugar tongs, marked London, 1795.
