The dessert knives and forks maker's mark of Levesley Bros., Sheffield, 1882
Comprising eighteen pairs of dessert knives and forks, each with a mother-of-pearl handle and silver blade or tines, the knife blades engraved with birds, bamboo stalks, fans and ferns, all in Aesthetic taste; a Pair of Dessert Spoons, London, 1824, later parcel-gilt and engraved with flowers, dragonflies and fan motifs, a grape scissors, London, 1882, decorated to match the spoons, two steel nutcrackers and two mother-of-pearl and steel nutpicks, all silver pieces fully marked; all contained in an unusual fitted silk-lined mahogany and satinwood case stamped with the registration mark for 1881.
