AN ENGLISH SILVER THREE-PIECE TEA SET
Maker's mark of H. Matthews, Birmingham, 1905 and 1906
Comprising: teapot, open sugar bowl and cream jug, each of compressed cylindrical form with all-over hammering and raised on three out-turned feet; the teapot with curved spout and wood loop handle, the sugar bowl with three loop handles and the cream jug with a single loop handle, each handle joined to the body with a bifurcated leaf-form terminal, marked under the bases.
