A GILT METAL AND MOLTEN GLASS NECKLACE, CHANEL
Designed as a graduating band of rectangular textured plaques with circle cutout borders accented with green molten glass rectangular motifs centering a similar decorated wedge shaped link set with a red and green molten glass cross, mounted in gilt metal, 15.5 in.
Signed Chanel
This grand necklace was inspired by a Moroccan talisman given by Mlle. Chanel to M. Goossens for the purpose of creating jewelry with similar design elements, i.e. the perforations. Chanel's original talisman can be seen in Lot #222.
