Persian and Egyptian inspired, designed as a wide flexible band composed of four rows of gilded silver lion head plaques suspended from circular disks strung on foxtail chain, the central section designed as a cross made of rock crystal plaque links, mounted in vermeil, 15 in., with French silver hallmarks

This massive collar was originally made by M. Goossens for his private collection. When Mlle. Chanel saw it she asked him to lend it to her for a special evening, to be worn by her model, Betsy, which he did.
