The needlework possibly French, 17th Century
The domed rectangular top, sides and front covered in close-nailed foliate gros-point embroidery, enclosing a floral red silk interior, the front with gilt-metal lockplate - 30.5cm. high x 60cm. wide x 42.5cm. deep; On a mahogany stand with a frieze drawer and spirally-turned legs joined by a stretcher, on bun feet, restorations - 64cm. high x 70cm. wide x 46cm. deep
