Lee", on the right a three-masted schooner, all above an eagle and shield with the motto Under My Wings Everything Prospers, and a pair of simulated walrus tusks, one engraved with a pair of walruses flanking a rondel stating Taken from deal walrus, October 17, 1842 - First Mate T. Bowers and the tip with a cannon and American flag; the other dated 1779 and engraved with a portrait rondel of Richard Pearson, Captain and John Paul Jones, the reverse with sailing ships; silver mounts and ebonized bases
