A very early serial numbered MOOLY motor. The MOOLY motor was announced in March 1938 and motors numbered 100 to approximately 400 are the original two-speed versions. This example features the double underlining below the 'o' in 'No' typical of the early models. Lager suggests that the double-underlining may 'represent test units manufactured before Leitz committed themselves to full production'.
