W. Hill, 9½ x 113/8 in., mounted and signed in pencil; and four miscellaneous albums including cartes-de-visite by Hills & Saunders and others

Gustav Mayer, described as a leading photomechanic, was known particularly for his work as a photo-engraver and for experimental work in photolitho colour reproduction. His album includes self-portraits and other portraits, photographers at work, Camera Club outings, mining subjects, pictorial landscapes, some identified as Colorado, river scenes, wildlife and plants.
