A SET OF FOUR REGENCY PADOUK AND ROSEWOOD QUARTETTO TABLES
Each crossbanded overall in tulipwood and inlaid with boxwood and ebonised lines, the rectangular panelled top with a satinwood border, on twin ring-turned supports joined by a concave rectangular stretcher on square tapering cabriole legs, minor restorations, with pegged construction
The largest 20¼ in. (51. 5cm.) wide; 29¾ in. (76 cm.) high; 12¾ in. (32.5 cm.) deep
The smallest 14¾ in. (37.5 cm.) wide; 28 in. (71 cm.) high; 11¼ in. (28.5 cm.) deep (4)

Lot Essay

These quartetto tables closely relate to a design by Thomas Sheraton published in his The Cabinet Dictionary, London, 1803, pl. 78. A similar set of quartetto tables was sold anonymously in these Rooms, 14 November 1996, lot 62.
