Wearing a tripartite wig, with central parting and finely striated braids, with a serene expression and sensitively modelled eyebrows, eye-line and pupils, on velvet mount

Provenance
This head was bought by the actress, Vivien Leigh, in 1945 when she took the part of Cleopatra in Bernard Shaw's Caesar and Cleopatra; it remained one of her most treasured possessions until her death in 1967.
