A CORINTHIAN POTTERY ALABASTRON
CIRCA 625-600 B.C.
Decorated with a winged male figure wearing a tunic and running to the right, incised rosettes in the field, a frieze of tongues around the neck and flat rim, a dotted rosette at the base, 27/8 in. (7.2 cm.) high; a Corinthian skyphos with black-figure frieze of five running hounds and sets of four wavy vertical lines descending from the rim, with twin horizontal handles, 21/8 in. (5.3 cm.) high; a Corinthian pyxis with knobbed lid, with vertical twin loop handles, decorated with encircling bands in red and brown, a tongued frieze on the shoulder, small chip to knob, 3½ in. (8.9 cm.) high, both 6th Century B.C.; and an Attic lekythos with black-figure dancing man before a palmette, 5th Century B.C., 4½ in. (11.3 cm.) high (4)
