A Regency mahogany and inlaid longcase clock, first quarter 19th century
The case with swan neck pediment to the hood, centred by a giltwood figure of a youth, with later glass panel below, outset reeded columns, the trunk with a row of harewood ovals inlaid with leaves, above a three-quarter length wavy top trunk door inlaid with a chevron bordered oval, flanked by reeded pilasters and with raised panel below, with conforming inlay to the plinth with chamfered angles and raised on bracket feet, top section of backboard lacking, the 15in. white dial with a rolling moon to the arch and spandrels painted as female figures emblematic of the Continents, the white centre with Arabic chapter ring, subsidiary seconds and date rings, signed Tho. Armstrong Poulton, with pierced brass hands, with falseplate to the four pillar rack striking movement with anchor escapement -- 97½in. (248cm.) high

All lots sold not cleared by 1.00p.m. on the Thursday following the sale will be removed to the warehouse of:

Lots will be available for collection following transfer to Cadogan Tate on the Friday following the sale and every weekday from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE WILL BE NO CHARGE TO PURCHASERS WHO COLLECT THEIR LOTS WITHIN ONE WEEK OF THE SALE.
On the Thursday one week after the sale, a transfer and administration charge of £18.50 per lot will be payable and a storage charge of £3.20 per lot per day will then come into effect. These charges are payable to Cadogan Tate and are subject to VAT and an insurance surcharge.
