A French gilt and painted metal figural mantel clock, early 20th century
Modelled as a young boy holding up a royal blue painted sphere applied with gilt Roman chapters and stars, with pierced gilt-metal hands, on acanthus cast gilt-metal pedestal above a square white nmarble base with inverted breakfront sides and toupie feet, the twin barrel movemnt with vertically positioned cylinder escapement and strike on bell -- 13¾in. (35cm.) high
