A GEORGE II BURR WALNUT BUREAU BOOKCASE
Cross and feather-banded overall, the moulded rectangular cavetto cornice above a pair of later glazed doors enclosing three shelves above four drawers, the bureau slope enclosing a central door flanked by two simulated book compartments and a further three pigeon-holes and four drawers to each side, one drawer fitted, with veneered writing-surface above four long graduated drawers on bracket feet, restorations to the interior, the shelf arrangement to the top section altered, originally with mirrored doors, the feet reveneered and possibly replaced, with sixty-four various cloth and leather-bound books
