the standing figure with his head turned to the right carries a large toad on his shoulders -- 3in. (7.6cm.) high; an ivory netsuke of an immortal holding a staff and a fan, a recumbent deer to his side -- 2¼in. (5.4cm.) high; an ivory netsuke of a man kneeling on a square box, a boy standing behind him, an oni crouching to one side -- 1¼in. (3.1cm. )high; and an ivory netsuke of a farmer holding a spray of chrysanthemums wearing detailed robes -- 1½in. (3.8cm.) high, incised signature, all 19th Century, (age cracks, minute losses.)
