A pair of Ming bronze buddhistic lions modelled as candleholders,
each beast with open mouthed ferocious expression, having one foot raised on a pierced brocade ball and standing on a shaped rectangular base, carry candleholders to their backs modelled as stylised flowerheads -- 9½in. (24.1cm.) high, 17th Century, (old wear).
