painted and gilt to both sides with a crest bearing the motto 'Audaces Fortuna Juvat', the crest with a chevron band bearing three crosses on a blue ground within a laurel border -- 4¼in. (10.8cms) high, 18th century, (slight fritting, surface chip to one edge).
