the yellow satin ground reapplied with brightly coloured embroidered motifs including blue and pink palmettes flanked by serrated red leaves, alternating with stylised artichoke and pomegranate motifs within wreathes of red curved leaves, worked in silks with couched gilt thread outlines--45cm x 188cm; and two further panels similarly worked, the embroidery Ottoman, 17th century, reapplied in the 20th century
