densely worked in couched gilt-thread cord coiled into floral motifs, embellished with sequins, (buttons missing); a waistcoat of purple velvet, worked in twisted couched gilt thread with raised floral cartouches, trimmed with couched gilt thread braid, (fastenings defective); and a cropped jacket of purple velvet with similar twisted metal thread decoration, Ottoman Empire, possibly Greek, 19th century
