Date cyphers for 1884, impressed and gilt crowned globe marks, shape no. 1937, both signed L(awrence) B(irks)
Each of baluster form, the twisted rope handles with platinum and gilt Bacchic mask terminals, flanking a gilt seeded flaring neck, the lip with key-pattern, the oviform body set with six oval panels decorated in white slip with putti emblematic of the Months, labelled below on rectangular two-tone blue panels, linked by elaborate gilt foliate scrollwork and rosettes rondels, on a circular foot and a rectangular wood base
