The breakfront top with pierced rocaille cresting, flanked on each side by a putto with floral spray, above a bombé glazed door and sides, the lower sections with Vernis Martin panel, on the front depicting an airborne maiden and attendant putti, and to the sides birds and musical trophies, the crimson velvet-lined interior with a pair of shelves, the angles applied with bulrush and floral mounts, on tapering legs and scrolled feet, the lockplate stamped to the reverse E. SCHMIDT/A PARIS
