with an arcaded and dentil-moulded cornice above a pair of doors, each with upper panel with applied mouldings, plain lower panel and dummy drawers fronts, below, above a long true drawer, on bracket feet, the interior painted and with runners on the inside of the doors, formerly housing a bed, restorations-- 52.1/in. (133cm.) wide, 74½in. (189cm.) high, 21½in. (55cm.) deep

Although this piece of furniture is now a two door cupboard, it seems that previously it housed a bed. Evidence of old hinge marks, an un-fitted interior and a curtain runner around the edge of the door indicates that the doors would have lifted upwards to form a canopy
