A Fine 10-Bore Silver-Mounted Turkish Miquelet-Lock Gun
Late 17th Century, the lock signed 'Amal al-Hadji...'
With heavy multi-stage etched twist barrel with shaped muzzle, inlaid with gold at the muzzle and breech, the principal intersections each with applied gold band, the breech with gold-lined mark, gold-inlaid standing single-aperture back-sight and slotted gold fore-sight, signed lock with encrusted silver decoration and applied engraved silver panel, Circassian walnut full stock (hole at the fore-end) fitted with original iron pricker in front of the lock, butt of characteristic form decorated with applied engraved silver-gilt panels and with ivory butt-plate incised with flowers and foliage filled with red pigment, iron trigger-guard, bronze sling mounts, stained horn fore-end cap (minor chip), and original ramrod with iron and silver mounts
