A Rare 8-Bore Flintlock Duck Gun

With massive swamped three-stage barrel with raised bands at the rear and brass foliate fore-sight, plain grooved tang, signed rounded lock with moulded border (signature refreshed), moulded lightly carved figured walnut full stock (chipped and repaired, minor bruising) with raised moulding at the barrel tang, cast brass mounts including pierced side-plate, retaining much of their gilding, and later brass-capped ramrod (barrel and lock with light pitting), London proof marks
