A Fine Flintlock Blunderbuss

With belled brass barrel in two stages, the breech section octagonal then polygonal, engraved with lines and foliage, signed on the top flat, and with grooved ramp at the rear, engraved iron tang, signed border engraved rounded lock, moulded beech full stock (cracked in ramrod-channel) with a boldly raised apron at the barrel tang, brass mounts including flat butt-plate with long engraved tang, cast and chased side-plate and escutcheon, the former of pierced dragonesque form, the latter with grotesque mask above, single baluster ramrod-pipe, and brass-capped ramrod, London proof marks
