With rebrowned twist barrels signed on the rib and with silver fore-sight, case-hardened patent recessed breeches each with four gold lines and platinum-lined touch-hole, engraved tang cross-cut with channels for water-draining, signed engraved bevelled locks each with stepped tail and inscribed respectively 'Patent 1358' and 'Patent 1359' to the rear of the swept rainproof pan, rollers, signed patent steels numbered respectively '1358' and '1359', the cocks with chequered jaw-screws, varnished finely figured walnut half-stock (light bruising), chequered grip and fore-end, engraved iron mounts (with old reblued finish), silver escutcheon, and original brass-mounted ramrod, London proof marks
