A Fine 20-Bore Spanish (Ripoll) Miquelet-Lock Carbine

With two-stage barrel with a single raised longitudinal rib on the forward section, and four on the breech section, belled at the muzzle and stamped 'Coma' (Neue Støckel 191) on top of the breech, plain tang, shaped lock cut with characteristic fan-shaped flutes on the bridle to the cock and pan, the front of the steel with maker's stamp (Neue Støckel 945), the inner surface of the jaws of the cock engraved with geometric designs, moulded blackened full stock (chipped) carved with a foliate design behind the barrel tang, lock, and saddle-bar, and on the underside of the butt, punched with dots, and inlaid with pierced and engraved silver panels, flat silver heel-plate, fluted iron trigger-guard, iron saddle-ring, two pierced silver barrel bands (one replaced), silver fore-end cap, and later silver-tipped ramrod
