With heavy swamped octagonal barrel cut with seven grooves, brass fore-sight, and engraved blued three-leaf back-sight , the breech engraved with panels of scrolling foliage inhabited by animals on a hatched ground and cut with decorative bands at the rear, plain tang, signed flat bevelled lock engraved with Classical figures, scrollwork, and trophies of arms and with blued pan, steel-spring, and top jaw and screw, moulded figured walnut full stock lightly carved in relief with foliage, and with a monster behind the cheek-piece, the grip inlaid with silver wire scrolls (minor losses) heightened with dots, engraved cast brass mounts in the French taste decorated with trophies of the chase, circular silver escutcheon chased with a profile bust of a man in armour, the flat of the butt-plate engraved 'No: 19' and with a man smoking a pipe, fluted wooden patch-box cover, iron sling swivels, engraved brass fore-end cap, set trigger, and wooden ramrod with engraved brass tip
