An Unusual Pair Of German Wheel-Lock Sporting Rifles

With blued swamped octagonal sighted barrels respectively of 38-bore and 34-bore, each with bands of ornament at the muzzle and breech, brass fore-sight, iron back-sight with extra leaf and chiselled finial, and maker's mark 'GB' within a shield (Neue Støckel 7186) on each breech, flat locks each with flat integral wheel-cover engraved with a wreath, sliding pan-cover, chiselled details, and pierced cock engraved with a wreath and a bearded face, birch full stocks each with waved fluted fore-end (minor damage) and stamped and incised decoration, the cheek-pieces each inlaid with an elephant in engraved dark horn, engraved dark horn side-nail washers, patch-box covers of wood and horn (minor damage), horn butt-plates each with iron button, indented iron trigger-guards, set triggers, engraved horn fore-end caps and forward ramrod-pipes, and horn-tipped ramrods
