Similar to the ten preceding lots, the lock struck on the inside with the mark of Walter Dick, the stock stamped with storekeeper's mark (date incomplete), and the initials 'TR' below the side-plate, King's proof marks

Walter Dick is known to have renovated and repaired pistol locks for the Board of Ordnance. The 'TR' mark on the stock is probably that of Thomas Reynolds, who rough stocked and set up arms for the Board of Ordnance between 1796 and 1802
